A simple thank you

I had the greatest morning today spending time with 3 fun, crafty ladies.
Kristy, our host, had some easy...and cute crafts for us to make to use as teacher gifts.

Well, that's not the point of this blog but had to give you a bit of info
as I segway into the story....

I offered to bring coffee and creamer, so I made a quick stop at
Starbucks for a big 12-cup to go box of fully leaded, get your craft on black goodness.

As I waited for the pot to brew, a young woman got in line for her coffee.
She was wearing the typical Air Force garb.
I reached into my pocket and grabbed a $5 bill and handed it
to her saying I'd like to buy her a cup of coffee as a very small
token of her great work for our Country.
At first, she was reluctant but accepted the token.
She thanked me, said Merry Christmas and gave me a grand smile!

I could never do what they do.
Thank God for our Soldiers!

  1. What a wonderful token of thankfulness and gratitude.
Perhaps I'll do the same thing next time I see someone in uniform.

P.S. How crazy is it that you lived in AZ for 31 years and now in Cali, and I lived in Cali when I was a little girl, and have lived in AZ for almost 30 years. So amazing!!
