Mud Bath

Talk about funny.
This girl comes up with some crazy ideas.

She wanted a mud bath because it would make her skin soft and silky.
Watching too any commercials, I guess.

She made up her mind.
She put on her bathing suit.
Marched out to the front yard.
Turned on the hose and started making mud.

Check out the background.  Major construction = big mess!
I'll blog about that soon.

Mud everywhere.
Arms, legs, face, hair....
and even some splatter on innocent by-standers.

Cars that were driving by were even slowing down to take a look.
Nothing to see here but pure joy on her face.

Silly works for her, don't you think?

Appletini, please

She cracks me up.
Her personality has really bloomed.
Big 6th grader, you know.
She's become a joker.
A funny girl.

We're at CPK having dinner, just the three of us this time.
Can't remember where Sugar Nugget was.
The server comes to our table and asks for our drink order.
Sweet Cheeks looks at her and says "I'd like an Appletini, please".
The server gal looks directly and us, the parents.
Our response.  Sure, she can have one.
We were joking, of course.
So, the server tells Sweet Cheeks that she can bring her apple juice in a martini glass.

Request granted!!

Love this girl.
SO MUCH!

Affirmations

These girls work so hard E-V-E-R-Y-D-A-Y.
School - Homework - Dance...
They have busy schedules.
They amaze me.
They keep their cool.
They do what they have to do.
I'm so proud.

So, today I thought it was time to give them a bit
of affirmation.

A sweet note letting them know that Dad and I
adore them and we are so proud!

It's the little things that go a long way in today's world.

One of the things that I wish were different about today's society
is exchanging simple pleasantries.
A quick smile or a "hello" as you pass by someone
during the course of your day.
Holding the door open for someone coming up behind you.

SMILE!
Pass on a bit of joy.
